LH (Luteinizing Hormone), Serum
Luteinizing hormone (LH) promotes ovulation at mid part of menstrual cycle, converts the egg / ovum into corpus luteum that in turn promotes production of progesterone hormone in females. Progesterone prepares the uterus for possible pregnancy. In males, it stimulates production of androgens / testosterone.
